Arrival / check in
I arrived by taxi from elsewhere in Denpasar, which was relatively inexpensive and easy to arrange. The hotel is down a side street which your driver may not be familiar with; using an App like Uber or finding the hotel on Google maps may make it easier to find. I was greeted at the door by the porter who took my suitcase, and led to the reception area to check in.
As an IHG Club member, I was offered the usual benefits which included free wifi, but was also surprised to learn the hotel also offered a complimentary one category room upgrade. I presume this was due to under occupancy rather than being the norm, but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless.
We had two rooms on this reservation – a double and a triple – and both were spacious and clean. The double had an ocean view, while the triple had a garden view. The bathrooms were large and contained sufficient amenities for the number of guests in each room. The wifi strength was good, which allowed us to make clear and uninterrupted FaceTime / Skype calls.
Services and facilities
The hotel has a large pool with a well stocked pool bar. As the hotel was quiet during our stay, we did not have any difficulties finding deck chairs around the pool. Hotel staff regularly came around to take orders for drinks, which included a ‘buy one get one free’ offer during their happy hour. There are some reasonably sized garden areas behind the main building with space to sit somewhere away from the pool area.
This was a great end to my time in Bali, and I am glad I chose to stay here with my friends. The hotel is in a convenient location with a good range of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
